Real-time inventory updates were non-existent, creating constant mismatches between production and stock in Business Central. The heavy reliance on manual intervention for completion reduced overall efficiency and increased the risk of errors. Consequently, the lack of automated tracking led to frequent delays and operational inconsistencies.

End-to-End Production Tracking & Inventory Synchronization Framework for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

The existing production workflows were analyzed to identify gaps in lifecycle tracking, inventory synchronization, and automation. Based on these findings, a comprehensive production tracking system was developed by extending core modules within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central using AL, enabling end-to-end visibility across all production stages.

Event-driven mechanisms were implemented to ensure real-time inventory updates aligned with production activities. Automated batch jobs were also introduced to streamline production posting and significantly reduce manual effort.

Enhanced dashboards and reports were developed to provide real-time insights into production progress and resource utilization, improving overall decision-making and operational efficiency.
