Strategic Roadmap

The current system lacked a structured way to manage shipments, making it difficult to link them with orders in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Without a standardized process, inconsistencies and manual effort thrived. The system also struggled with large volumes and provided no error tracking within Business Central. Consequently, users relied on external tools, which reduced overall efficiency and control.

Strategic questions that informed the approach:

● How can we create a unified data model that reliably links shipments to parent orders?

● What architectural framework supports high-volume bulk processing without performance degradation?

● How do we implement comprehensive error logging to eliminate the need for external tracking tools?

● What reporting structures provide the most actionable visibility for operational control?

Execution Approach

Scalable Shipment Processing Framework for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

A detailed assessment was conducted to identify gaps in shipment workflows and system limitations. Based on these findings, a scalable shipment data model and a standardized processing framework were designed and implemented within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Batch processing capabilities were introduced to efficiently handle high volumes of shipments. In addition, robust error handling and logging mechanisms were implemented to improve reliability and simplify issue tracking.

Seamless integration support and user-friendly interfaces were developed to enhance visibility and control. The solution was deployed using DevOps practices, ensuring system stability and enabling continuous improvement.
